Invite your team
Add agents to your workspace, set who sees what, and get everyone answering from the dashboard, browser app or mobile.

Chat is only fast if somebody is there. Getting your team into the workspace early is worth doing before you turn the widget on publicly.
Adding an agent
From the dashboard, open your account settings and invite an agent by email address. They receive an invitation link, set their own password, and appear in your agent list once they accept.
Agent seats are how EasyChatDesk is priced — see plans and billing for how adding or removing agents affects your bill mid-cycle.
Online status
Each agent has an online toggle. It controls two things:
- Whether new conversations are offered to them.
- What visitors see when nobody is available — the widget switches to an offline state that captures a message instead of promising a live reply.
Set your business hours honestly. A widget that says “we typically reply in a few minutes” at 2am does more damage than one that offers to take a message.
Where agents can answer
- The dashboard, in any browser.
- The browser and mobile apps — see apps. Push notifications mean somebody can cover evenings without sitting at a desk.
A practical setup for a small team
If you are two or three people, do not over-engineer this. The pattern that works:
- Everyone online during working hours, first to respond takes it.
- One person nominated for the evening shift on mobile.
- Anything that cannot be resolved in the session becomes a ticket with a named owner — that is the handoff that actually prevents things getting dropped.
Canned responses
Before you scale the team, write canned responses for the answers you give constantly. It keeps replies consistent between agents and it is the fastest quality improvement available to a small team.
Next: customise the widget.
Still stuck? Message us from the widget in the corner of this page, or get in touch. A person answers.
